How to Make Hydrogen Fuel Cell That Gives Increased MPG
Making A Hydrogen Fuel Cell Pump Out The Most MPG
There is no doubt that you can DIY a great fuel cell, but if
you don't know what to do with your results you could be
negating a lot of the gains you should be seeing. Hydrogen
fuel cells will create HHO (hybrid hydrogen oxygen) from
water, and they do increase miles per gallon, clean out your
engine, add horsepower and reduce harmful emissions. Not too
shabby for the price of water. Here's how to take your
hydrogen to the next step and up the MPG gains.
Don't Drown Your Engine
If you've made your own fuel cell, then kudos to you, your
going to see a return on your investment quickly. For those
of you who have purchased a commercial unit these same tips
apply, your just going to take longer to see your returns,
your still headed in the right direction. Either way your
pioneering an awesome resource that will reward you, and
your about to learn how to take it a step up. Now if you
keep your HHO saturation below 4% and direct it to your
intake BEFORE your air filter, you don't need to make any
adjustments and you will experience added MPG, HP and a
cleaner happier less harmful emitting engine. If you go over
the 4% saturation, your going to notice a decrease in
performance, maybe even loose MPG, here's why.
Your fuel ratio is 14:1, when that balance gets upset your
engine reads it as an error and dumps more fuel into the
equation. This means your adding too much fuel to your
combustion cycle and your wasting a lot of it. Did you know
that without HHO you waste a lot of fuel? It doesn't
completely ignite and your catalytic converter has to burn
it up. Talk about room for improvement. With HHO you use up
that unused fuel, this is why your emissions are less
harmful, no unused fuel. So, how do you keep your engine
from dumping too much gas into the equation?
The answer is to control your fuel ratio, you can do this
several ways. The one I recommend is to use an EFIE
(electronic fuel injection enhancer) the name is a bit of a
misnomer, because it works on non fuel injection engines
too. Basically an EFIE will control the voltage relayed from
your o2 sensors. Depending on the quality of the EFIE you
can get this control down to the millivolt. This allows you
to lean back your fuel as you introduce more HHO, meaning
your using less gas and supplementing it with HHO, which is
made from water. How cool is that? HHO has three times the
potency of premium gasoline, so you'll have no problem
supplementing a decent amount of fuel. This is how you can
maximize your miles per gallon. The side benefits are just a
bonus.
So There You Have The Dirty Gas Little Secret
Get control of your fuel ratio and you can really amp up the
mileage gains. Pumping out too much HHO without adjusting
your fuel ratio will negate your gains. Get control of those
o2 sensors which are just overgrown thermometers and you can
really increase your efficiency, without drowning your
engine. You will have some fun making these and hopefully
you'll tell a friend how to make a hydrogen fuel cell too.
