Yeast infection has several common causes. The yeast infection is caused by an overgrowth of the fungus Candida. Most often the type is Candia Albicans. Other names for Candida infections are monilial infections, thrush and candidiasis.

Antibiotics kill not only the harmful bacteria from your strep throat or your infected finger but also helpful bacteria as well. One of the side effects of antibiotics is their inability to tell helpful bacteria from harmful bacteria.
