Losing the pregnancy weight can be hard especially when there are so many diet schemes out there. Sometimes stereotypes make the most sense such as: size does matter or quality over quantity! These two stereotypes are famous but that's because they are effective when you're trying to trim your tummy!

Size does count:

Portion sizing is one of the oldest tricks in the book but it works. These days most restaurants pile your plate full of food and fast food joints have bigger sizes and bottomless cups. It might be hard to get away from this over indulgent culture but when you do sit down to eat, try to have smaller portions but more varieties of fare.

Instead of wolfing down a big meal after starving yourself all morning, try and plan to have smaller nutritious meals scattered throughout your day. By doing this you will raise your metabolic rate by making sure you are always supplying energy for your body. Aim to balance out your food groups and this includes the often tabooed carbohydrates!

Quality not Quantity:

This might look like an out of place stereotype but sometimes our cardio routines can become tedious and counter productive. Instead of hours (quantity) on the Stairmaster it will benefit you more to do some quick (quality) interval training. Lose your tummy by doing short bursts of cardio that increase your metabolic rate and strengthen your heart.

By challenging yourself and pushing your cardio harder you will strengthen your heart and have your muscles burning calories for you all day. Boosting your metabolism is the beginning of burning the baby fat. Quick Cardio sets through out the day will help you lose the pregnancy weight faster!

New moms are barraged with new diets and fad exercise schemes but sometimes the old stereotypes apply when trying to lose your tummy. Don't get stuck with expensive gym bills or complicated recipe diet books when all you need is a well-designed meal plan and an organized exercise schedule!
