What job opportunities are available at the Center?

If you are interested in a volunteer or internship position, please send cover letter and resume to Andrea Kennedy, Director of Human Resources, at Yes! Internships are an important part of our program.

Can Freshmen get internships?
There are plenty of internships accessible to freshmen! As long as you keep an open eye and constantly search for an internship, you are likely to find an opportunity. A good place to start is the Career Center. There are various ways for you to find an internship. The Cal Jobs Listing allows students to search for internships and jobs through listings. Internship Fairs are also offered throughout the school year.Visit the Career Services website at and click on "Full-time Jobs" or "Internships." Many different job search options and services are available for your review.

How do I apply for a job or internship with KING 5 TV?
For employment or internship opportunities at KING 5 TV, please see our job listings section at Employers determine their ability and resources to pay interns. If the position is paid it will be noted near the position description. Internships are not part-time jobs but rather learning experiences.

Does the NOAA Corps have any summer jobs, internship or co-op opportunities?
The NOAA Officer Corps does not offer summer, co-op, or internship employment programs. However, some civilian NOAA programs have a limited number of such opportunities depending on your specific interests. For more information please visit internship is an approved and monitored work experience that is related to an academic field of study and meets specific learning goals. An internship is quite different from a regular job. We expect that you will have more flexibility to learn about the profession/career/industry where you are interning. Very importantly, an internship may mean that you are registered for academic credit.

Statistics show that 87% of students complete one internship before graduation, and 69% complete two or more. Having internship experiences during college is becoming expected in the workplace. Students who do not have internship experience are in the minority, and could be at a disadvantage in competing for jobs.Yes! Internships are an important part of our program. To succeed in the industry you must get your foot in the door, and that is what our internship program is designed to do.

What is BroncoJobs?
BroncoJobs is the Career Center's web-based, job-referral system, which includes student-employment jobs for students while they are attending Boise State, internship opportunities, career-employment listings and on-campus interviews for graduating students and alumni.View the current employers list to see the employers of VT students who are enrolled in the Career Services Co-op / Internship Program. (This is a sampling of employers whom VT students have worked for; students who do summer internships typically do not enroll in the program, so their employers would not appear on the list.) You are not limited to working for the employers on the current employers list. Many other employers also hire co-ops and interns.
