If you want to learn how to play tennis, or to improve your game, you will need to find some good tennis lessons to get you on your way. Even those who have been playing for years can benefit from tennis lessons, and you may not even know you need help with your game until you get it. As with any sport, there is always room to grow, and always ways to get better. Depending on where you live, you should be able to find affordable tennis lessons that will fit in with your busy schedule. You may also want to get lessons for your children to help them stay fit and strong.

Our mid-size town also happens to be home to a few former tennis professionals, and they periodically offer group lessons for a reasonable amount. In case you are not in an area that hosts tennis pros, don't fret, there are many other places to find tennis lessons. Occasionally if you look hard enough you can even find places that offer free lessons.

Your local gym or YMCA/YWCA might be the best places to look first. Many communities have tennis courts, and some have community tennis leagues. Ask about tennis lessons, and find out about price and availability. In most cases, you may find some in the evening hours or on the weekend so that you can join in with the entire family. If you want to take tennis lessons on your own, or need the time alone, you may even be able to squeeze some in on your lunch hour, or on your way home from work.

Whether you are a beginner or have been playing for a while, get some new equipment to take to your tennis lessons. You need a tennis racket that is of good quality and will take a beating. A good racket will also help you play better, and will help improve your game. Don't forget to get the proper attire. The more you feel like you are a tennis player, the better you are going to play.

Even if you have played tennis before, you may wish to consider taking tennis lessons to help you improve. Or you can search the Internet for tennis playing pointers. They can give you an extra edge to your game that maybe you didn't have before. Some tennis forums also offer message boards where you can find someone to play with too.

World Of Warcraft Paladin Class Guide

Written by Shane Fenham on in: Gaming | Tags:
by Kit Saunders

Let me begin by saying this is certainly not a full World of Warcraft guide on Paladins. There is no way you could cram everything this most versatile of classes is able to do in a few paragraphs. It is merely an overview that will hopefully give you a small window in the world of the paladin, the holy warrior of WoW.

Paladins are a class of their own. They're said to be hybrids of warriors, Priests and other DPS classes like Mages or Warlocks. By the way, DPS means Damage Per Second which means a class which give out lots of melee damage or close combat damage.

While they can be best described as a hybrid class due to the fact that they display traits peculiar to those classes, the paladin uses those "borrowed" traits in a very powerful way. Some would say in a far too powerful and unfair way. At PvP they very easily hold their own and most classes find them hard to beat. They are nicknamed holy warriors as they fight like warriors but can also heal themselves like priests and druids and like warriors they can wear the hardest armour of all: plate.

So Paladins specialize as tanks by having in one of their abilities tree called the "Protection Tree" spells and learned talents which enables them to both take and give enormous damage to and from several enemies at once. Special spells here include "Holy Shield", "Retribution", and "Consecration" which all add up to give the Paladin well sought after tanking abilities which for some raids and instances are far superior to that of any other class.

The "Retribution" tree allows the paladin to have the pick of spells and abilities that allow them to deal out lots of DPS and close combat/melee damage against their enemies. From this tree they have spell such as "Seal of Command" and "Crusader Strike" which allows paladins to be of a key role during raids.

The third ability is that of the Holy Warrior. From here they can draw from a range of spells that bestows and improves their healing power. Their healing speciality is to be able to give heals to different players in the game or their group. And also, since they can fight like warriors, they can heal themselves while fighting making them more resilient than warriors. This really does make them the most versatile class for group play where they are equally comfortable at taking the place of the Priest to heal or the place of warriors to tank. A good group will always have a paladin to back up either class or take over when need be.

So if you see yourself as a healer or tank or dps expert but don't want to start up three different characters there is no need to start a warrior to tank, priest to heal, or Mage to do dps. A paladin can do all these three things at once. For this reason the paladin is a class that is almost indispensable in groups and more than ideal in end of game action like raids or large instances where paladins are highly sought after.

Gold Guide for World of Warcraft

Written by Brian Benson on October 9, 2008 in: Gaming | Tags:

Everyone who is into World of Warcraft definitely wants to earn more gold. It's a major need when you buy the items you want to acquire like armor or weapons, and it becomes very useful for winged mounts and skills at the later part of the game as well. The only problem here is that gold is certainly very challenging to find, so you're going to have to be on your toes to earn it in most ways possible.

In this World of Warcraft Gold Guide, we will let you see the many options for having gold for yourself, which include grinding, professions, flipping, or purchasing gold from gold sellers. For this guide, we're turning on just the first three mentioned options. Every player could learn these skills in a breeze and once you get hold of it, it would be easy to make lots of gold in a short span of time. You just have to know how to do it and where to create it. Let's start going for the gold.

Grinding for Gold

Grinding for gold could probably be the fastest way to earn a lot of gold in a short amount of time. It may be very difficult, but you could find locations and use techniques that can bolster you up to 50 gold pieces per hour, making this time well spent. Many players spend a little time grinding during their quest. There's an extra benefit in grinding in the long run, since you also get to increase experience points.

If you're serious about grinding, there are only a few places that you need to focus on. Most opportunities for getting high amounts of gold per hour are going to be in the higher levels. However, grinding mobs almost everywhere and flipping the items that they drop will also earn you a lot of gold. We'll get into that later.

Quality grinding opportunities are mostly available once you go past level 50. You can earn about 50 gold pieces in an hour in Winterspring which is a region full of mobs. Make sure to spend more time here. However, I suggest that it would be best to start at the Winterfall Village.

Furblogs are relatively easy to kill, due to the fact that they have a high drop rate. There are plenty of these here. As an extra bonus, you will also be able to earn your Timbermaw in this section.

Another good opportunity for grinding in this region is engaging the Yetis in Everlook Forest. They deal minimal damage and are easy enough to overcome on your own. Look for the Frostsabers because they are very easy targets. As your level of experience increases and by the time you reach Level 80, you'll be in the Eastern Plaguelands where finding mobs for grinding is also easy.

The Mossflayer Zombie is an really easy target that will easily earn you more than 50 gold per hour, with the right techniques and patience of course.

Gold Earning Professions

This method of getting more gold may take a little longer than grinding, but it is a whole lot more interesting. Eventhough all professions earn you gold, the most profitable ones are skinning, leatherworking, and blacksmithing. Secondary professions like fishing can also earn you gold, but you'll need the primary skill of cooking before you can make real money off it.

Alchemy could also be a very good profession, but you might be required to spend longer periods of time gathering and purchasing the important items. For starters, it is recommended that you skin or blacksmith. These skills complement flipping, which we would discuss next.

To effectively get gold with any profession you are in, spend time investing on your skills. This could definitely take you away from questing, but you could try balancing everything. It is worth your time and effort to reach a skill level of over 300, but it is going to take from you, a lot of patience. Once you get in this level, the items you create would be more saleable.

WoW Hunter Guide

Written by Brian Benson on in: Gaming | Tags:
by Brian Benson

I would consider the Hunter as the most multi-talented out of all the classes in WoW. You can never go wrong with this class as it is sustained by the available talent builds, the pet options, and their high level of expertise.

Starting Out

Success in this class starts with taking in consideration if your character is right for the job. Take look at your own personal strengths and make sure that they fit the abilities of a hunter. Remember that the hunter class is more than tracking down and shooting animals. Playing this class can be a little tricky if you don't pay attention to its strengths and weaknesses.

A hunter excels at ranged warfare, including the use of bows, guns, and crossbows. They can dispatch their enemies effectively by using these means. They have strong tracking abilities, as well as an impeccable knack for surviving. Using pets with this class can redirect most attack damage from your character to your character's pet, giving you more time to play.

Melee fighting is one of the hunter's weaknesses. And it is only until you reach level 40 that your character can be fit for armory, so it can be quite a problem lacking armor in the early levels.

Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the hunter can now help you come up with a good strategy in dealing with your character's enemies. Remember that the farther away you are from danger, the better your chances for victory. Investing in a pet is also very significant because pets can help the hunter during melee fighting. Pets fight for their masters. Thus, cutting the hunter some slack when it comes to dealing with enemies.

Choosing the right profession for your hunter

You need to pick a profession that goes well with a hunter's innate abilities. Your best bet is yo go with a skinning and leatherworking combination. This will allow you to make your own armor. Another great combination is mining and skinning, which will let you produce enough money to purchase additional armor and weapons quickly.

However, what I wouldn't suggest are alchemy, tailoring or enchanting as it does not benefit the hunter as much as the other professions I mentioned above. Herbalism can be a profession you may want to try, as this can be used to make your own healing potions. It can be a very significant profession especially before you get a pet to help you out during melee fighting.

The Artillery

As previously stated, the hunter excels at ranged warfare. Concentrate on bows and crossbows, and guns if you have the skill. Initially, you'll get a pretty basic bow, but as you progress through the levels, you can purchase a better one that will let you earn you more skill and increase your accuracy help. You can also get several other ranged weapons as you complete quests.

The Colorful History of Sudoku

Written by Terence Uniacke on October 8, 2008 in: Gaming | Tags:

Modern generations marvel at the intelligence and creativity displayed by ancient civilizations. The great pyramids of ancient Egypt are the perfect example of incredible design and unmitigated human accomplishment. In ancient times, people were dependant on their minds to create, solve, and entertain. Today, most people turn their minds off and turn on the TV or radio when it's time to be entertained.

Today, when people find the media has become somewhat dull, repeating stories in a cycle -- "the sames" rather than "the news -- they often turn to brain teasers and puzzles as a remedy. Doing so encourages our brain to get a bit of a mental work out, and dusts off unused parts of the mind that need to be worked to keep them healthy. Puzzles and riddles serve lots of purposes, and all over the world, people enjoy challenges that help keep the mind active and thinking up new ideas and strategies.

Some of the games we play today are based on those that were played in ancient times, with innovations and changes made over the centuries. Sudoku is a game that may well have been played in ancient times, and it has a beautiful simplicity, yet can be wonderfully challenging. And the history of Sudoku is fascinating, too.

The game also has a fascinating history. First published in 1979 in an American puzzle game book, it was likely invented by veteran puzzle creator Howard Garns. Japanese publishers brought it there a few years later, and gave it a new name, meaning "the digits must remain single", which was later shortened to Sudoku. Japanese players instantly loved the game, and after 1984, it began its long rise to world domination. Millions of adherents around the world have improved their mental agility by playing Sudoku rather than staring at mindless TV shows.

Howard Garns was a retired architect who loved creating puzzles as a freelance effort, and it appears he contributed the first-known version of Sudoku to a puzzle magazine in 1979. It is similar to the Latin Square, which has been much analyzed by Euler, and is an ancient game. Garns added a third dimension, improving on the design, and he offered his version with some of the fields already filled in. It is immediately popular with puzzle players worldwide once they try it for the first time.

Once the game had arrived in Japan, a few years after its invention, its name was changed from "Number Place" to "Sudoku." A Japanese company copyrighted the name later on, and helped launch the game to Europe and around the world.

Originally, Sudoku was played manually in Japanese and American publications. In 1989, Loadstar Publishing introduced a computerized version, followed by another version by Apple. Sudoku has also been fashioned into a version of another popular 1980's puzzle, the Rubik's Cube.

In the year 1997, the popularity of Sudoku in the media had reached overwhelming heights. A Hong Kong judge named Wayne Gould became so engulfed by the game, he developed his own computerized version of a Sudoku creator.

Newspapers in many countries began printing Sudoku puzzles, and they would sell out for that reason alone. Some analysts stated that Sudoku was the world's fasted growing puzzle, and it perhaps peaked in popularity in 2005.

Though the puzzle alone is fascinating, the history of Sudoku adds something to the playing of the game as well. Ancient beginnings, modern computer technology, and a cross-cultural acceptance have all led to its current status. Say a thanks to Howard Garns, for bringing hours of puzzle pleasures to our lives.

Greased With Sweat: Gears Of War 2

One of the most anticipated video games in recent history is Gears of War 2. Based on the expectations from the first Gears of War, the sequel is expected to be a commercial and critical success. The game throws you into the middle of some of the most amazing battles ever seen on a video game console. The release date for the new game is November 7, 2008.

The game, based on the handiwork of Joshua Ortega is a characteristic good vs. evil battle. At stake is the fate of the entire human race. In this edition, the Locust have developed a diabolical plan to take out entire cities at once. They tunnel gigantic holes that can swallow entire metropolitan areas. This means Marcus Fenix and the COG Delta Squad have to go underground. They're taking the battle to the Locust's home turf with the hope of catching them off guard.

While the original game was ground-breaking in its own right, the new version promises to be even bigger and better. At the Game Developers Conference, Epic Games revealed the launch of the title, as well as several new features. Through trial game play at the conference, the media was able to discover a few fun new things. For example, during a battle, you can now use a dead body as a shield. While this is a shocking tactic, it will definitely come in handy in a pinch. Besides little nuances like this, the story goes deeper, the characters are richer, the weapons are bigger, and the overall experience is breathtaking. You can even dual with an opponent using a chainsaw attachment!

While this will certainly be a popular game, it's not meant for children. This version of the game is especially gory. Case in point: when someone is killed near you, blood splashes your character. Trails of blood cover the battlefield and, of course, profanity is constantly used by all the characters. However, there is a new feature called the "Mature Content Filter." It does what it says: it filters all violent content and profanity. This is handy if your child really wants to play the game.

Besides these new features, the game also showcases several Xbox Live capabilities. You can play a multiplayer game with your friends from anywhere in the world. The game plays impeccably regardless of whether you're online or in the same room. This is a great way to stay in touch with your fellow "Gearheads".

Gears of War 2 is a terrific game that will be an even bigger success than the first. If you plan on buying it right off the bat, you might want to preorder it, because it will sell out. If you love third-person shooter games that aren't named Halo, this could be the game for you.
