by Trip Wend

Great vacations in Europe start with the all-important travel planning. Here are several ideas and recommendations to help you plan a two to three week visit. Before you embark on your trip you need information about the best places to visit, not to mention passport requirements and currency exchange rates.

Travel within Europe is relatively cheap because of the many great deals on airfare and the availability of diesel fuel everywhere on the continent. But you could keep busy for the whole two or three week vacation visiting just one of Europe's major cities!

Often travelers are unsure exactly where to go in Europe. The paragraphs following include many suggestions for the best vacation spots and activities. There are great cities, out-of-the-way tourist spots, festivals, and much more. There's something for everyone, no matter what their interests.

Among the best cities need to visit during European vacations are London, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Athens, Venice, Florence, Barcelona, and Munich. Plan your visit to London, England between May and October, and be sure to visit the British Museum, the Tate Modern, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, as well as Buckingham palace and Westminster Abbey.

No vacation in Europe is complete without a visit to Paris. This most famous and largest city in France is at its best in September, leading to a tremendous number of visitors at that peak tourist season. Book hotels or lodges early to avoiding uncomfortable accommodations during that period. Don't miss it!

Visit Holland (Amsterdam) any time and you're still likely to have rain. April and May are best for the famous tulips; summer is good for sun worshipers, especially July and August. There are a number of other famous activities in Amsterdam, too.

Before visit to this continent, the traveler considered the summer festivals in Europe. Here some details about summer festivals Redentore in Venice, Roskilde Festival in Denmark, Salsburg Festival, National Eisteddfod of Wales, Festival d'Avignon, Helsinki Festival, Palio di Siena, L'Ardia di San Costantino in Italy, Ghent Festival. If you're in southern Italy in early July, and you like festivals that have gone on since ancient times. d'Avignon celebrates July 8-27.

Travelers who need adventure and thrill need look no further than the Haute Route in France. It was established almost a hundred years ago as a high mountaineering route that linked together two of Europe's premier mountaineering centers, Chamonix and Zermatt. It was later developed into a ski route, and more recently a high-level mountain hike.

For a while now the travel industry has been experiencing an ongoing rise in travellers across worldwide. Every day the world seems to shrink a little as we watch the news and use other forms of media and the internet to keep ourselves up to speed with various political climates, fashions, social trends, and things like weather emerging and changing daily around the globe.

Along with this boom in travel the travel insurance industry has experienced an increase in sales, partly due also to the volatile state of many exotic and interesting countries. It is always better knowing you're covered when you don't know what could happen tomorrow. What global changes are going to take place from day to day is unpredictable and much can change overnight which makes the security of travel insurance very appealing to travellers.

But generally, not only are more people feeling the urge to travel but also the need to venture out for years at a time in search of some excitement, culture, time away, work experience, specialised studies As more of us feel the need to see the world and be more enlightened, so does our way of travelling become more lengthy and enriching. Travel insurance has developed alongside the traveller every step of the way and will always adapt itself to cater to today's way of travelling.

Research some travel insurance companies which offer special deals for long term travellers, backpackers, adventure travellers, workers based abroad and gap year students if you plan on spending a long period away. It doesn't hurt to surf the internet where it is easy to find cheap travel insurance.

Don't forget that the medical section in your travel insurance is as important as any other, possibly even more as young travellers embark on more adventurous and risky holidays and the lack of good medical insurance could see a seemingly minor injury turn into a lifetime disability if not seen to by a suitable professional. Just because you may be a young traveller with no investments or family does not mean that you do not stand the risk of falling into debt or losing money over a little hiccup if you aren't covered by travel insurance.

Whether you are young or old, or you plan on being away for a long or short time to a destination near or far. travel insurance is always a wise idea.

When To Visit Thailand

Home & Family No Comments »
by Ada Denis

Probably the most common question any foreigner real in Thailand will hear from people planning to travel to the Kingdom is "When is the best time to get to Thailand" not an easy doubt to answer without experiencing "why" a person needs to come to Thailand.

There are fundamentally three seasons in Thailand (though of latterly the cold flavor seems to have gone missing), the flavours are, The Hot, The Washed and The Big. Cold being a rather subjective description though, the shots of emergency blankets being handed out in the northwest provinces when it drops to a chilly 10 degrees...that's 10 degrees Celsius. So what does each flavour offer.

The Hot
March to June : The smartest month is April when even the geckos rest inner and most expats look external at lunch time and determine to not eat rather than dissolve on the walkway to a food stall. The Hot season is beach season, if that's your thing then this is the time to come to Thailand, assured sun sun sun all day long day after day.

For Trekkers you might find this to be a tad hot to go plodding up hills unless embossed on an elephant, sun throw and drying up are high up on the list of things to mind of. Bangkok grows into a melted vat of pollution as the rolls die and the smog just hangs around dying up the oxygen. Hotels are at their most overpriced during the hot flavor and weekends will see many of the mid extend ones fully booked.

The Wet
July to November : The exchange over from hot to wet is the lightest time to be in Thailand disregarding of what you're into. It's Hot, it's wet and the humidness is ruthless. You'll be wild to take three showers a day at a minimum...living in a shower for a month might not be a bad plan. If you can imagine living in a sauna for a month then you get the right picture of Thailand at the start of the wet season...unless you're in Bangkok, then take in a sauna and pipage your car exhaust into the sauna to get the right.
